I’ve been using a memory foam pillow for a few years now, and I love it. So when this one arrived, I was curious to see how it compared to my old pillow.

To compare, both pillows are similar in size and thickness and both have a removable washable cover. The difference is inhow the Dormia pillow feels. When I squeeze the Dormia pillow, it is noticeably softer than my old memory foam pillow.

Perhaps it is the Visco elastic memory foam used in the Dormia pillow. This foam is unlike “conventional foam” with its quick recovery, or bouncy feel, visco elastic slowly and automatically adjusts to your body weight and temperature. It was interesting to read that this particular foam is used to cushion, protect and comfort critically ill individuals in hospital intensive care and burn units.

How does it feel? Well, I had a great night’s sleep. The pillow is soft and conforms to my head and neck for comfort. The cool sleep technology will come in handy on those hot summer nights and when the hot flashes kick in! What happened to my old pillow? I gave it to my son Ryan. (He thinks it’s the new Dormia pillow, so mums the word!)
